TENDER NO. ME 011/2017-2018/C/40

PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY, DETAIL DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR MASASI NACHINGWEA URBAN WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY


1.      This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for Ministry of Water and Irrigation that appeared in News Papers (Daily News) of 11th August, 2017

2.      The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MOWI) has set aside funds for the financial year 2017/2018 towards the operation of Water Sector Development Program (WSDP II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the Provision of Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detail Design and Preparation of Tender Documents for Masasi Nachingwea Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority

  1. The Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MoWI) now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the above mentioned services. The shortlisting criteria shall include but not be limited to i) Submission of company profile ii) Description of similar assignments performed (Names and contact address for clients served should be indicated) iii) Experience in similar conditions and assignments iv) availability of appropriate skills among staffs etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

  1. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the PPRA Guidelines: “Selection and Employment of Consultants”. Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) and procedures described in.

5.      Please note that this is NOT a request for proposals. After the review of letters of interest, a short list will be prepared, and short-listed consulting firms will be invited to submit their proposals through a letter of invitation including specific terms of reference.

6.       The Expression of Interest must be delivered in sealed envelopes in One Original , one copy and one electronic copy by hand or by courier to the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Water and Irrigation Kolon Building PMU Offices, adjacent to DUWASA Head Office, Chimwaga Road, and 40473 Dodoma, Tanzania. The deadline for submission of Expression of Interest will be on 17th April, 2018 at 14:00 local time. The outer envelope must be clearly marked: “CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF APPROPRIATE WATER TREATMENT PROCESS FOR MASASI – NACHINGWEA URBAN WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY”

8.      Expression of Interest will be opened promptly thereafter in public in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below in the Ministry Offices, Kolon Building PMU Offices, adjacent to DUWASA Head Office, Chimwaga Road ,40473 Dodoma, Tanzania, at 14:00 Hours Local time on Friday 17th April, 2018.
